Pocket Guide, the debut record of former Orange & Lemons member Clem, is not too bad. Everybody thought the guy, who was rather brash then, would turn bulimic with his British influences once he went solo but my, my what a display of restraint this is. Songs are well structured and instrumentation is just about right in texture with a smattering of Pinoy influences. They even made a song off a Jose Rizal poem “Canto De Maria Clara” and rondalla instruments make a great addition to the very tight band. Over all, a great debut.
